La RBTCO Pilón Lajas, es una zona de características particulares por su alta biodiversidad de especies y ecosistemas donde comunidades T´simane y Mosetene han desarrollado un amplio conocimiento, llegando a aprovechar varios recursos forestales, actividades que han mantenido criterios ancestrales que permiten el aprovechamiento racional y sostenible de diferentes especies animales y vegetales.
